Cold spell...Son-of-a...
Well it all started with a cold spell, say 2 weeks ago (-35*C for 3 days). Antifreeze started goin MIA, few days go by and shyit, its going in the oil (very little) AND i'm burning it . So i park it, rip out the head. As i was taking the head bolts out, the #8 bolt (loosening sequence) was 190 foot pounds tight !!! (Yes i was usen a torque wrench) Anyways got her off, brought it in the house (-5*C eh). All the bolts were fine but that one it was all crusty like the one on the opposite side looked more like Carbon! but this one was seized in the rocker arm guide thing. now i'm sittin here writing this puppy wondering if my head is broke (more less think it is). a friend is going to take it to college to check it out on monday.
And if its done in, i have a 22R-E sitting in the rolled big blue.....mmmm engine swap
then again all the heads are the same for 22R, 22R-E, 22R-TE but this one has bigger valves!!
