Temperature Guage

I have a 94 p/u with the 22re with the stock guage cluster (tach, odo, fuel, temp) the temp guage isnt working, any ideas on how to fix this? thanksto the strong motor, the car was purchased cheap since it was alos lowered with aftermarket tires. I believe they are aftermarket 15's (american Racing) (look like lambo gallardo). The speedo is not callibrated correctly. Any idea on how to correct this?

electronic speedo, VSS ?
mechanical ?

either wya you would need ot change speedo gears in trans, cuz now the ratio isnt correct for the tire height

there is a formula for this, a local trans shop could give you it

also go to google and type in speedometer calibration

the goal is to go exactly one mile as close ot 60 seconds as possible, use stop watch and tgime yourself inbetween a set of mile markers

then youll know if you need to speed up vss or cable

smaller driven gear or bigger drive gear= faster output spin

opposite = slower
