'86 22R, Oil on air filter housing

I've been finding motor oil on the air filter housing of my '86 4X4 HiLux. Oil is also present on the gasket that seals the housing to the carb so it looks as if oil is coming up through the carb. The PCV valve is new and the baffle in the valve cover is clear so I'm wondering what else might cause this. A rebuilt long block was installed about 35K miles ago along with a rebuilt carb. The EGR pipe is clear as is the channel in the intake manifold. It was clogged with carbon but I cleared that out before the long block was installed. Any suggestionsS TIA?

noticed that no one has posted...D'oh! i would try some of the "Lucas heavyduty oil stabalizer" it helps worn engines and stops leaks and all that good stuff!! i was getting oil like everywhere and i used that seems like it has stopped
