USA Fog Lamp wiring

If your vehicle did not come with fog lamps and you decide to add them, is the wiring harness in place on the vehicle? I have heard that all the wiring is on the truck and all you have to do is add lights, and switch mechanism. I have 2005 4X4 Access Cab. Anyone know the answer. Thanks...........Cooch

unless theres a switch for the foglamps in the cab, i doubt the harness is already in place. Also check the fuse box to see if a fuse is in place for fog lights. if theres nothing, you willprobably have to buy a full kit and run wires. if you do, i hope theres a hole for wires in the firewall or youll be drillling through.

ive had several vehicles that have the harness in place already, if not, running the harness shouldnt be very hard at all. definitely no need to drill, since you could just run it through the firewall where the ecu wires go thru

The harness was in place on my 2005 SR5 double cab. All that was needed was the switch, relay, lamps and bulbs. The switch wiring was attached to the back of the blank and can be accessed from the front of the dash by gently prying the blank out. The lamps were the most expensive part and I would think about an after market set that could be attached to the harness.

Thanks for that info..... Where are the wires in the bumper area that lead to each hole in the bumper? So is it easy to pry the blank out of the dash? I bought a switch on EBay for $12.00.......... so if my Taco is wired then I need the relay and lights.... I have a buddy who works at Toyota that may be able to get a better deal on the bulbs. Are they easy to hook up? Any help is appreciated............... I hate those black holes.... Cooch
