Hey guys. I just joined yesterday and I have a couple of questions. First of all, I wsa wondering if it is possible to take the rear differential lock off of a 1998 pickup I have and put it on my 1994. And if this is possible, how would i go about doing it?

1st of all - anything is possible

2nd - a couple of questions

are you swapping the entire rear or just the locker
if just the locker you will need to make sure you have the same rear

you will also want to make sure your gear ratios are the same, if not you need to change one or both, whatever, they just have to match

if you are swapping the entire rear, make sure the spring perches are the same width so your springs will lay on them well.
I know some folks say a 1/2" in either direction is ok, i just don;t see the point

if they don't you need to buy some spring perches and have them installed or weld them on yourself (not familiar how handy you are)
also want to make sure your shock mounts are in the right spot.
