It would help if you stated the year and motor of your truck. Also, do you have an automatic or manual trans? If you have a manual, how much gear oil did it take to replace the trans fluid. I am planning to do this in the spring and am looking for an approx. amount of how much of each oil ill need to buy. I want to do the trans, transfer, and both diffs on my 92'. Thanks

you could probably use an adjustable wrench to fit it to the size, and take it over and find a wrench or socket with the same size gap. I didnt even think about saying that in my orig. post, but you can try that if theres room to reach up in there.
Yep, im in York, About the middle of the state, just below Harrisburg. Im not a huge football fan, but theres plenty of steelers lovers around here.

Yea I tried the cresant wrench no go. I think that the plugs have not been out since the factory. LOL. I think they R 24mm 26mm I am going to mic them and find out I'll post up with the size

Thanks for the reply . my peeps came from Shanadoa valley (sp?) big steelers fans in Arizona. If you do the oil change buy the hand pump $8.00 it's well worth it. As far as the oil goes I bought mine in bulk 5 gals. for $30.00.
I got this truck used and she was not very well cared for. But dam these things are tuff. If my jetta was treated like this it would be way dead.

Later
Bill

ok thanks for the help. Ill remember your numbers for mine (assuming its the same, which im sure it cant be much diff.) I do have a hand pump that i use for gas and stuff, so im wondering if itll work for oil too, since its a little thicker to pump thru. Where did you buy your oil from? Ive seen the gl4 80w-90 at walmart for 3.00 +/- a quart, but didnt see the GL5 at all. Im sure they have them at my local Advance Auto parts though,.. il hafta check.
