P/u Tape Deck

I have a 1993 toyota p/u and for some reason, the FM and the cassette deck dont work, only AM does. Any ideas? Also, if i pull another deck from another toyota, such as one I find on ebay or craigslist, how hard would it be to install or would it even be compatible. I just want something that works.

if it's DIN sized, then it should fit right in, using the OEM brackets. and since toyota has kept the wiring harness plugs the same for all these years, it should plug right in...

You can get a am/fm/cd player for very cheap. Installation is usually very simple.

I fit a 2004 Tacoma AM/FM Cassette/CD Player in my 1986 2wd truck. The wire plug in hook-up behind the deck was collected from the local Toyota junkyards.I traced each wire to Power,Speaker,Ground with the use of the Toyota Plug-in Kits for reference, that they sell at Wal-Mart.Original bracket will fit as long it is OEM.

Its about $15-$20 for the Toyota Universal wire Kit.You can get it at any Car Stereo Outlets. The Toyota original plug-in for Toyota AM/FM units can be found just about any Toyota abandoned at the junkyards.Just got to cut the wires from the vehicle.
