2001 Rav 4 mysterious misfiring cylinder 1...???

my 2001 rav 4 with 11,000k suddenly today starting acting up, throwing a misfiring in cylinder 1 code. Suspecting the TDI coil on cylinder 1??? but is that possible with the car with 11k on it. Did anyone else have this problem before. Check all TSB's and it didn't say anything about a common problem with TDI coils on the Rav4...??

Thanks, Kevin

id check the obvious. Plug, wires, all connections. When you take the plug out of cyl 1, look at it and look for anything unusual. Check wires for frays or slits and how well the connection looks at the dist. cap and also where it plugs onto the plug. For best insurance, id put on all new plugs and wires and look inside the dist. cap for cracking or moisture, Because its always good to test the simple/cheapest things first.
