p/u shocks

Will changing the shock size, travel, affect my ride hight? I have a 1993 toyota p/u and would like to drop it maybe an inch from stock.

No they will not. Shocks only affect the ride quality and travel.

YOu have to get lower leaf springs or airbags, or a drop kit.

It won't effect ride height but it does effect wheel travel. Too long of a shocks will allow the wheels to extend further down, which is bad for your drive shaft and joints, also if it's too long, during full compression your shocks could topout before the bump stops. Top it out often and you blow your shock early. Too short of a shock and you'll be dangling the wheels in the air if you should be in an awkward situation. Just food for thoughts.
