Faded brakes

I took my Taco off-roading on Monday. It was pretty extreme. There was a lot of deep water, and a lot of mud. The truck did awesome, but now it seems like the brakes have substantially faded. If I pump them a few times, they grab hard, but if I just press them like normal, I have to press the pedal down a lot farther than normal. They feel solid, so I don't think they need to be bled. Could the mud and water be stuck to my brake pads??? If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.

It's definitely the mud and water. Take off your wheels and spray off the rotors with a strong spray of water for a bit and take it out for a spin and see if that helps.
