help, 3vze to 5vzfe swap

Howdy, before I get to cought up in a project here Id like to ask some advice and see what others may think.
My 93 4runner threw a rod only seconds after losing all oil pressure while on the highway heading to work never any signs, signals or red flags, and instead of rebuilding that specific engine I opted to find a new, er uh, running engine and complete my rebuild from there now the deal is as many may know the stock 3zve had many issues and recalls/problems. Now Im wandering if anyone knows if I can stuff the better engine the 5vzfe from the roughly 94 to 01 4runner in, in place of the 3vze, if the motor mounts will match up, if the bell housing on the R-box trany will mate to the 5vzfe or the 5vzfe's bell housing to the origional R-box and if any of the accessories will cross over minus my ecu which will have to be swaped as well, im trying to save as much as possible here. Now on the motor mounts Im wandering also if just like the old 5mge and 7mge, the blocks were almost identical minus a few minor details; then are both the 3vze and the 5vzfe also build from the same (Identical) block as eachother just different innards, and better flowing heads and so on and so on. Im willing to settle for the 3vze to get my truck running again but likewise Im in the buisness of making things better and would like to do the same here.
Any help/advise would be appriceated, thanks much.

I didn't check the numbers so I'm assuming the 5vzfe motor is the 3.4L. From what hear, the 3.4 will bolt up to the 3.0 motor mounts. If you have a 5-speed tranny, the swap isn't bad. If you have an auto, the 3.4 computer can't control a 3.0 auto tranny, so you would need to find a 3.4 auto tranny too. But...if you have 4wd, you'll need the 3.4 transfercase too. But...the front drive shaft on the 3.0 is on the passenger side and on the 3.4 it's on the driver's side...doh!!!

I was going to do this swap on my 1994 pickup, but I wanted to keep my auto tranny and 4wd, so I convinced myself the 3.slow will have to do.

There is TONS of info on this very swap. Search here and on yotatech and 4x4wire for 3.4 swap. If you have further questions, email me and I'll try to help as I just completed this about 4 months ago.
