intake and exhaust help

hey i have a 2001 tacoma, it ahs a 2" supsension lift and 17" custom wheels, i love em....im lookin for an air intake system to gain hp and torque and also an exhaust system to do the same. ive looke at K&N intake systems and Injen anyone got anything to say about a good intkake? i also looked at the TRD exhaust sytem and borla, anyone got an info on those or others? any help would be fantastic, thx

Those intakes won't do anything except give you a louder sound at WOT and a lighter wallet. For proven HP gain, I would suggest doing a deckplate mod or an elbow removal mod. Gains of up to 6 HP. Look at http://www.gadgetonline.com/airinduction.htm for Gadget's dynos on the K&N and the "modified aribox". For the deckplate as well as other mods go to http://www.yotatech.com/~corey/tech/techpage5.htm and there you will find other tips as well, just browse around.

when you're looking around be carefull about "box horsepower" most of those intake kits you're looking at say on teh box that they'll add 30hp or whatever, but in reallity its just like humanoid said. your best bet for horsepower lies in your exhaust, northwest offroad had a pretty good selection last time i checked. really good people too, know their toyotas
