you really are going to want to wheel a little and read a lot before you start making major changes to your rig (anything ya need more than $50 for i consider major - but I'm cheap)
there is no point in throwing money around and building a rig you can;t use for your needs
you were asking about a SAS in your other post
that will change everytihing you do here
Your rig is more than capable of getting you in and out of enough trouble right now, I'd say go have fun and figure out what combo is going to work withthe typw of wheeling you do most.

first project should be to get good tow points front and rear
second, skid the heck out of it where ya need it - skids are great early fab projects cause they are easy, cheap and provide a great deal of protection
a stock truck with good tight skids can get you a lot of places

Only problem with the skids is they can lower ground clearance. You may actually not even hit the ground but because you added a skid you are now. If your going to wheel...first investment should be into a locker and tow points. Minor lifts and meats will come later when you figure out how much you need. If i were you id put a locker in the rear, and put some skid plates on your dif's. Dont put one up front it will lower your ground clearence and cause you to hit. You can also fab up some high clearence bumpers for pretty cheap and put them in place of the stock ones wich makes your rig look cooler, and puts the bumpers farther away from the rocks.

Unless you can find a good used locker i would hold off until you know what gears you are going to run
You seem pretty set on going bigger and you will want to change your gears as you increase tire size, you may end up needing a different carrier depending on the break and the tires size you end up with
I just hate to see ya drop a bunch of money in the first couple of months and then be strapped once you figure out what you really want.
