22re rebuild

Does anyone know of a cheap rebuild for a 22re? Are the pistons in a 22re different than a 22r? Would a 22r rebuild kit work?

the R & the RE are the same engine the R is a carb. the RE is EFI. you just have to get the year pre 85 or 85-94, if you have a 85-94 thare is a good chance you will need a timing chain cover and new timing chain the erlier version had a double row chain and was les likely to stretch.

I believe the cam shafts are different on the 22r and the 22re. This is what I have heard. Correct me if I am wrong
