USA Will this flawed timing cover effect performance??? Thanks

Above is a picture of my timing chain cover. Question is, will this cracked and missing piece of metal effect the performance of the engine? It is att the bottom of the cover where the oil pump goes.
Thanks,
Jason

The server is either timed out or there is an error with it. Try imagestation. Its free and works good.

Bingo. Thank you photobucket.com I strongly suggest this site for picture posting. Now does anyone think this timing chain cover will be a problem?

In my opinion that is not going to hurt anything. I think that is just a shield under the chain, but it's purpose could be to hold some oil, I'm not sure.

The whole timing chain cover is fills with oil anyways so I don't think it will pose a problem.
