90' 22re timing chain problems

Hey, i have a 90' toyota with a 22re. I was wondering if a carburated head is different from a fuel injected cylinder head. I had some timing chain problems after I used a carburated head on a fuel injected engine. The part numbers are different, but i dont know whats different about them. thanks

85-94 R & RE heads are the same if you used a R head from a pre 85 it is a diferent head they had double row timing chains and diferent deck hights,

different deck heights? what do you man, this might tell me a problem i have. my head could be pre 85, but not positive, because my timing chains mounts to tight also. Is there a 49 link chain and 48 link chain. Which is correct? I am hoping for some help with this, im really stuck. Thanks
