what year would this be?

I looked at a pickup today. It was an xtra cab 4wd, grey with a check on the side. I looked on the inside and it had sr5 bucket seats and also sr5 on the tailgate in white. It had all the guages. the grill was split in 3 sections vertical and the same horizontal. It was chrome. I think that it is may be an 88. If not what years did they make sr5 pickups with these options?
It has a 22re with 229xxx on it.
thanks

Here is a picture of the 1988 Toyota I used to have:

Sorry the grill is blocked by the brush guard, but this should help you out.

The "check on the side" graphic sounds like around a '90.. maybe an '89.. if I remember correctly.

It was easy to figure out. The first time i looked at it i thought it was ifs but after a second review i noticed the solid axle and front leaf springs. It is an 85 with efi but I am not going to purchase it because after letting it run for a while i found oil in the coolant and smelled the sweet smell of antifreeze from the exhaust. Probably needs new head gasket and who else know what other damage has been caused.
Thanks for info though.

The best way is to look at the VIN number. The 10th digit is your year code. VIN tells all.

I'd buy that beeatch just for the front end, if it was in good shape.

Im for sure it was an 85. Solid front axle appeared to be original from the factory.
