best shocks for 99 2WD Tacoma

I have a Tacoma with 160k on it an it really needs new shocks. Have the cheapo garden variety Gabriels or Monroes proved to be OK, or should I seek more expensive ones? Thanks, Mike

TRD uses Bilstein shocks. You can also put on Rancho 9000 adjustables or got with the cheaper non adjustable 5000 series.

go with the Bilsteins....rides awesome with them, though they are primarily for the newer models or TRD packages
