has anyone ever regeared to 4.88 gears with a stock engine and stock tires.....did anyone tried this out, and have you noticed any power, speed or torque increase...and what do you all speculat will happen if i attempt this mod?

Changing the gears in your rear end will change the amount of torque that is applied to the axels at the cost of speed. The only reason to do this would be to compensate for lager tires. If you leave your tires alone you will get an increase in torque but you will rev out at highway speed. You don't get something for nothing. That is what gears are for. Giving up distance for torque. By doing this you put more stress on your axles and tires.
