vacuum

i have a 90 toyota pickup 22r/e
im not sure if it is supposed to be like this or not but the air out hose on the bottom of the vacume is worn. the end of it is frayed and it is just dangling. is it supposed to be like this or not? please inform me

out of the vacuum cannister?vacuum lines just don't hang,they're supposed to be hooked somewhere.post some more info.Do you have auto lock hubs?

yes out of the vacuum canister. i do not have auto locking hubs.

if it is the canister on the passenger side firewall,and the line comes out of the bottom and hangs down by the frame rail,thats the way it is..I think thats actually a charcoal canister for the fuel system,but i'm not a 100%-mine has the small vacuum lines all plugged in around the top as well.

Check this site out and pick the one that matches your engine but most likely the one that goes to the vacuum transfer switch on the engine!!
