crank and cam shafts (timming)

Hello, i just swaped heads and can't get the crank to b at zreo when the cam is at tdc like for #1 piston. the crank's mark is at the #12 or the other side of the zero, which side is better? i'd imagine the side with marks lol.....but y is it so far from zero??
this could verry well b a dumb question but i don't want to fuk up

lol as far as i know, i am kindda thinkin that maybe the chain moved a link on the crank sprocket??
