It might be even worse with a manual tranny. If I remember correctly, the automatics got different gear ratios than the manuals did (4.10 for the manual, 4.30 for the auto).
I go with something taller. Im not 100% sure of the numbers anymore but I would go with something in the 4.80ish to maybe even something like a 5.10ish or even a 5.30ish. Once again, I dont remember the exact gear ratios that are available, I aplogize for that...

4:88's are the correct size for 33" tires
5:29's are for 35" tires

Unless you are pretty mechanically inclined and comfortable working with things that are expensive to fix if you screw them up, I would suggest just getting them done by a professional. It is not worth the price of the fix. It should run you anywhere from 700 to upwards of 1,000. The labor is gonna be more than the parts.
But its your truck, your money. Do what you feel comfortable with.
Yeah, I heard setting up the run-out to a couple 1000th is critical. I seen some gears on ebay (both 4.88 and 5.29 for toyotas) for about $139 each. Is that a good price?

Gears are about $200 a set and labor depends on the time and shop
