rough running
Hey all,
I have a 1983 toyota pickup that has been giving me engine performance problems lately. I would be driving at a steady speed, and the truck would seem to miss. It doeas not matter if I am going 70mph or 35mph. I had had this problem before, and it was a clogged fuel filter.
This time, I started with the fuel filter, did not work. I have replaced the plugs, plug wires, air filter, had the timing re-set, checked all the vaccum hoses, sprayed gumout in the carb, and added Redline fuel claener with 93 octain gas to boot and it still misses and drives sluggishly.
My mechanic suggested put a carburator kit on it, ( since it has not been re-built since I have owned it over the past 6 years ) and maybe, it will correct the problem. I am asking for any suggestions you all might have as to what the problem might be? Thanks, Cheap Truck
