Body Lifting Troubles?

I have been thinkin about getting a body lift for my p/u and i'm wondering what troubles i might run into.. the only real reason i'm going for it is because a few of my mount bolts are in bad shape so i figure i can replace them all and get an inch of lift at the same time. Also it's something to hold me over until i can afford a procomp 4". Another thing is i've been told about a lift company called BDS, anyone got any thoughts on these guys?

When you buy the body lift, itll come with new longer bolts, because when you put the spacer in, your stock bolts will be too short. Just shop around for different kits. You'll find that adding only 1" wont make much of an appearance difference, but you still will have to do the same amount of work and time. Id add like 3, its adding actually enough that you can tell it has been lifted, but not high enough that it looks weird of you feel like a monster truck.

BDS is a good suspension company. They make real good IFS lifts.

Well today i went out and found a trail master 3" body lift kit and picked it up, my next step is waiting for a nice day to come by so i can get it on.. it did come with some instructions but they aren't real detailed and they don't make me all that confident. I was wondering if anyone knew where i could get more detailed instructions with diagrams and such anywhere on the net?

When you put a body lift on your truck its gonna make your bumpers all lower and goofy looking. Your shifter will be lower down also if its a manual. Make sure you un hook the steering or else it will snap.

the kit came with bumper lifting brackets. also a steering extension, but i wouldn't have thought to disconnect it before raising the cab, thanks! it is a manual and i've heard of people having to cut the floor to get first and second. but the guy bought it from assures me that i won't have to?! Anyways, thanks for the input!
