Independent suspension?

i see a lot of trucks that have taken out the front independent suspension and replaced it with regular suspension or whatever u call it. i was just wondering the pros and cons of it and why exactly u wouldnt want independent.

Im guessing that you are referring to "solid-axle".

For really hardcore offroading solid-axle is better. Its stronger and you can put a huge lift on a truck with very minor mods.
Also, if you are offroading and break something on a truck that is solid-axle you can at the very least be able to limp home. If you break an a-arm you are screwed.
