Glass Pack Muffler

Would a Glass Pack Muffler sound good on a 22-re 1992 toyota pickup dlx? What kind of muffler would you recommend if i am going for a deeper beefy sound but not to sound like a car?

Glass pack?? That's going to be loud! Flowmaster is the choice if you want that deep V8 sound.

It would probably sound pretty good, maybe a little ricey in the upper RPM's. I wold recommend a Flowmaster 40 series muffler. I got one and it sounds real good.

glass packs and straight pipe/echo chambers make it sound like a weedeater on roids. some people like it, but it sounds pretty annoying to me. flowmaster and borla systems sound pretty good, but let's face it: the 22re is what it is.

I had a glasspack on a 22r and it made it quieter than the other muffler. (It was rusted through) Like Forstr said it will sound like a weedeater when you wind it out.

Go with a Delta Flow 50 or 60's

I've got a regular straight thru "red bullet" glasspack in place of the regular muffler and it sounds fine.Runs better too.

I don't like any of the reflective type mufflers on a 4 banger. They all sound bad at high rpm to me. I wound up getting the cheap Raptor "turbo" muffler at Kragen's for about 20 bux. Nice and throaty, not raspy at all, works better than the stocker did. But I'm cheap, too.
