Hi all be patient I'm no wizard. Anyway I have a 1987 p-up 4x4 22re. Charge light and brake light stayed on. brake light got brighter if I pulled the emergency brake on. Took it to the shop.
Tech say's it was an emmisions indicator. Said He unhooked My lights and put an ammeter under dash. Only problem is the choke seems not to "set on " at start up and after it warms , goes on HIGH IDLE where it used to auto kick down. I'm lost, battery checks good, alt is new, not a fan of the aftermarket gauge. The truck has to be cranked forever to start, then won't idle, then goes to high idle forever. You've all helped so well in the past. Thanks!!
