Body lift questions

I was thinking a body lift was in order for my 01 xtra cab trd sr5 and was wondering what anyone had to comment about this. I was first thinking a 3" lift was the way to go but upon further research thought that maybe just 1 or 2" would make a lot less of a hassle. I was wondering if anyone has done a body lift to the same truck and which one they went with. I know with 3" there will be raising both bumpers, steering linkage, and radiator remounting along with hoses such as gas tank and possible slave cylinder problems. So will I have to deal with all this with 1 or 2" lifts. Also which companies would you suggest to get the lift from. If i decide to go with a suspension lift later will it be more difficult to install this after the body lift or will there be no difference?
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
