needing some new seats

my seats r shot in my 83 pu which i am restoring... i was looking at some corbeau seats. their sport seats are nice but expensive. i will pay it because i like them a lot but i was wondering if i could find a nice pair of new sport bucket seats for under the corbeau price of 800 to $1000. does any one know of any good quality brands that i can look at that still are quality seats? im not looking for anything to fancy like leather or anything just some nice new seats for my baby. any advice would be greatly apreciated.

For some general tips, experiences, and pointers - check out my two seat articles in the Tech Section over at CustomTacos (www.customtacos.com).

If you're willing to invest some 'sweat equity' on the install (fabbing / tweaking / etc.) you can get the most seat for the $$$$$ by transplanting better OEM units from another vehicle.

Unless you go the new seat route (Sparco, König, Recaro, Corbeau, etc.) you probably won't be able to avail yourself of the custom sliders / brackets that'd make install a breeze.

As I always preach - the seats are the easy part - it's the mounts that'll have you tearing your hair out.

thanks so much for the link. as it looks to me i think im just going to go with the corbeau seats and pay the 800 because they have the brackets and sliders available specifically for me truck which skips any moding hopefully. which from all the complaints im sure is a real pain. i hope they go in easy. thanks a lot you really cleared things up for me.
