Pitted wheels

My factory rims on my '96 Tacoma Ext Cab 4wd are pitted badly......these are the "3-Spoke" style (15") with black lug nuts......they came stock with 31x10.5 LT Wrangler GSA tires.

Can these be "cleaned up" or resurfaced?

If not, any idea where I can get a set of 4....?

hey, that's what happens when we live with salt...You can strip the original surface protector off with 'aircraft coating remover"-Napa,Carquest,maybe crappy tire. Then bring the pitted areas back up starting with 400 grit, work your way up to 1200.then clearcoat the rims again.A resurface job will cost $80-$100 a rim.

Yeah,If your rims are the painted aluminum and not the polished aluminum,There's a real good Duplicolor wheel paint at Crappy Tire.Nice metallic colors and it lasts really well.I,ve done a set of 5-spoke Gsr rims and the stock steel rims on my 4Runner.both are holding up well.
