stumped-fuel system related?

I recently found out i had a head gasket leak on a 91' 22 re 4x4. The truck was running alright even with the problem other than that it was putting coolant into my oil. I replaced all the gaskets, put everything back together according to specs, and it won't run for more than 5 seconds without shutting off. if you spray gas into the throttle body it will continue to run, but other than that i've had absolutely no luck with anything else. would really appreciate it if anybody has any suggestions. I think it something pretty minor, but really have no clue what part of the fuel system and or electrical system to check.

okay, it's not the fuses, not the fuel pressure-it has that, not the injectors, for some reason it's not getting enough fuel to run for longer than 3 seconds. any other help would be much appreciated.

How do you spray gas in the throttle body if the MAF is hooked up?if you did have the MAF hooked up,check your grounds-if you didn't,your truck won't run without it.

ok i just unplugged battery, as for the mass airflow it is hooked up along with the grounds if im not mistaken. but yes if i continue to spray gas in the throttle body it willl remain running. this is what is confusing me because it would point to a fuel pressure problem but i have at least 45psi fuel pressure

You have to have the air tubes hooked up between the MAF and the Throttle body with no leaks. If the hoses are unhooked or leaking between the two it will do just as your saying!!
