How to get starter out of truck?

I had the wheel off and could see it in there but did not locate any bolts to take off only a stud with threads? Anyone done this job before on a 3.4 engine? If i cant get the information i may have to take to dealer at $80 an hour Man its tight in there

There are 2 bolts holding it on. Don't remember the size, maybe 14mm (or 15mm). One you should be able to see and the other is more just touchy/feely.

The bolts are roughly on top and bottom of where the starter mates to the bellhousing. Fun to get to, I can't remember right now if you access at least one of them from the tranny side, and the other from the engine side.

i have an 86 you can access the starter through the wheel well, i think there are 4 bolt right behind the wheel on the lower part of the wheelwell, remove this plate and you will have enough room to remove/install starter.
