i am goin to get new exhaust and a new muffler soon and was wondering what is the best. whats the cheapest, and whats the best for the money. i have a 22r/e so if that makes a difference. thanks

Hey look up Daves muffler in spokane, he did mine and he is the man for exhaust. Id say do a 2inch. alot of people will say a 2.25 or 2.5 but you'll lose your low end and in these, thats all weve got. I would recommend a pacesetter header while you're at it. helps with mpg and power. plus any mods on top of that (cam, intake) will benefit from the better exhaust flow. Dave had a few mufflers that we just held up to check sound on so i forget what i went with but my criteria were good flow and quiet.

I run stock manifold, 2" to the catalytic converter, then 2.25 through a cheap V8 "turbo" muffler called a Raptor. Works ok, sounds nice and throaty with no raspiness.
