Question Wind Noise

Is there a way to tighten the driver's side door of a T100 to eliminate wind noise? The noise begins at 45 MPH and becomes almost unbearable at 60 MPH. By the way, there no problem with the weather stripping. The door appears to not seal as tight as the passenger door.

Worn out door hinges? How many miles are on the truck? With the door all the way open, can you lift up on it and feel slop in it? Even if they are worn out, I dont know if it would be causing your problem...

I don't know if you would be able to adjust the door striker in more....

According to the '94 T100 shop manual, you can loosen the door side hinges and adjust the door in the left/right and vertical directions. To adjust the door in forward/rearward and vertical directions, loosen the body side hinge bolts.

The door side hinges use a centering bolt, which is tapered between the head and the thread. The manual suggests changing it to a standard bolt (no taper) when adjusting the door.

The torque spec is 25 N-m (260 kgf-cm, 19 ft-lbf)
