Lift Kit question

Im new to the forum. I have a 99 Toyota Tacoma. I am wondering if anybody has installed or know of a 4 inch explorer procomp lift on a 95-04 tacoma? Is there any problems at all that anybody has had with the kit holding the alignment or any problems with the spindle spacer/upper control arm ball joint? Any advice would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks.

You should try and go with fabtech 6 inch lift , it comes with new longer spindels not spacers . I installed it on my 98 tacoma 4x4 with a three inch body lift and 35 inch tires it looks awsome . Good luck with your project

i don't know about fabtech. my friend had a 6 inch on his 2000 taco, and i was not impressed with the quality. but that is just me. i have heard good things about total chaos. also check out downey off-road.

if you just want looks and brand name go with fabtech. if you want function, go with something else.

What didnt you like about the fabtech 6" lift , why dont you explane your self . Every thing about the lift is solid and you would know this if you had one . Was it the price ? Or was it that your friends truck could run over yours . Dont be a hatter If you cant beat Em you should join Em

1) the ride quality was not what i would have expected it to be for the price. bumps in the road and rough terrain were extremely noticeable, even for a lifted truck. 2) it broke. twice. when he took mild air with it. i know that his jumps were not the best for it, but i have seen less (like a 4inch rancho on a much heavier truck) handle more. my stock leaf springs have taken similar air.

i don't know why O.G. got butt-hurt about my opinion, since everyone is entitled to present theirs in this forum. if the noob would have read my post i never said fabtech was a bad lift. i just said i was "not impressed" with it. so don't be so quick to sling your sh*t.

oh yeah. my freinds 2wd truck could never out do my (stock) 4x4 offroad. after he got rid of his fabtech lifted truck he got a 4x4 solid axle conversion truck.
