16' to 15' Can it be safe?

I got a great deal on rims and tires, 15' (I have 16' inch rims). They sell brake calipers for the 1999 4Runner with 15' inch rims. If I switch out the calipers for my 16' inch rims with the calipers for the 15' rims will it still be safe?

Bigger calipers are always better. Period!

Better, yes. Safe?

This rig is a run around for the wife. Never really goes off road. If i swapped the calipers would it be safe for that purpose? I know the larger calipers would be better if I were building this one up.

If the stock's work USE them. do a test fit. I don't think you'll have a problem.

Stocks No Good...

Most stock 16' rims have a slightly larger caliper that go with them. You can't usually switch rim size without switching calipers. They almost always rub. Most people don't usually want to go down in size. I'm looking for an opinion if the switch can be done and still maintain safe brake function? Has anyone else made such as switch?
