ok guys u all got to read this one help!!!

ok i got a 89 toyota xcab it runs great but i just got this deal on a rolled over 2004 tundra xcab the frame and motor are perfect it still runs even with the roof smashed into the drivers seat so here what im thinking. taking the bed, cab, and hood and fenders all off basically just having a rolling frame and motor and taking my 89 bed cab and i got a 1 piece front end with 5 inch flares got the same on the bed fenders. i did some measuring and it looks like it will work perfect cause the tundras frame is wider but almost exactly the same lenth so a 89 cab, bed, and front end on a tundra frame with the v8 iforce would be the sh*t doesnt that sound like the ultimate off road truck, any info will be much appreciated. thanks guys

yeah i want to combine them i think it would turn out perfectthe only problems i see is i got to make mounts for the one piece front end to put on but its not that big of a deal cause i already had to make them to fit the 89 chassie, the other is getting the wiring and push button 4wd hooked up also the throtlle body on it is not done by a throttle cable it is electrically controlled so thats where the tricky part comes in but if i get it all to work right the width of it will be perfect for the fenders and steady as sh*t and the light weight of the cab, bed ,and 1 piece front end will make the truck pull just and 4x4 so good cause on the tundras thats where all the weight is i already pulled the bed and front end off the tundra and it weights like almost triple what my 89 bed and front end weighed

Wiring will be the biggest issues. The 04 has safety features built in that the computer recognizes and looks for that you'd have a hard time replicating on the early body, such as DRL's and airbag sensors. Resale would drop greatly I feel also. I'd look into salvage yards and find a source for a new cab and swap'm out stock. Sell the repaired roll-over and use the funds for a project.
