I have a 88 22re 4x4. i installed a sunpro to. You can either wire the green to the ign- terminal on the diagnostic box under the hood or to the negative side of the coil. The white will go to the taillight fuse. I would put the red to the cig. lighter fuse, and the black to the body for a ground.
Sorry no pics. I mounted the base to the dash near the pillar arm that way it sits in the corner between the two and it is a clear view. The wires can be spliced into the wires on the back side of the fuse box or you can "redneck rigem" like i did by stripping the wire about a half inch and folding it over one leg of the fuse and force it back into the slot. You don't have to wire it to the fuse box you can make your on inline fuses. I would use a fuse though somehow that way if it is a problem the fuse will blow instead of the wire catching on fire.
