Mud tires

Can anyone here suggest a good set of mud tires. I also want a tire that last a long time on the road but pulls damn good in mud. I was thinking of m/t baja claw radials anybody tried them. I have looked at super swampers, but people I know haven't had them to last very long.

Super Swamper Boggers are nice, Thornbirds are nice as well as Mud Kings.
If you are willing to spend some money, Bridgestone Dueller MTs are great too.

Bogger are excellent but only lasted about 6months on my cousins tacoma. Thornbirds don't do well in mud though they just look awsome. I'll look into the bridgestones.

I have a set of pro-comp mud tires on my 82 toy and they pull good in the mud and have almost 40,000 miles on them and still have half the tread left.

No mud tires is really going to last very long if you drive on pavement a lot. They are made of a very soft rubber compound which makes them wear VERY quickly.
I would say that if you are able to get more than 50,000 miles on pavement from a set of mud tires you are doing pretty good.
I would go with a good set of all-terrain tires if you do a fair amount of driving on pavement. I had Bridgestone Dueller ATs on my '90 4Runner and that thing was unstoppable in mud/snow.
I usually ran out of balls and talent before it ran out of power and traction.

I know most mud tires wear fast but most super swampers only last 20000 miles or less. I have a set of regul m/t and they have lasted about 40000 miles which is good but they just don't pull that well. They do alright but they tend to pack up pretty easily.
