Question over 100k oil?

Finally hit the 3k oil change mark......it's got 113 on it and the original owner did a good job of changing it every 3k with dino oil.
I want to switch it to Mobil 1....do any of you think it will be a problem? Or should I go to one of those "high mileage" types instead?
Thanks
Todd

mobil1 is the best,if the oil in your truck was changed that religiously, the wear should be minimal.Lucas is a very good additive to prevent wear as well.

I wouldn't worry about switching over.

Mobil 1 as well as other synthetics(Royal Purple, Red Line, Amsoil) are compatable with dyno oil. It's just that if mixed with dyno oil(say 50%-50%) you do not get the full protection synthetic offers you.

After a couple changes you should have 100% Mobil 1 in there. As you know just draining the oil doesn't get rid of every little bit of the old oil in there.
The only time I would not switch over to synthetic is if the motor was leaking because it would cost a fortune to keep oil in it.

Synthetics are awesome at cleaning out sludge from engines (the detergent effect). However, since synthetics have been around for decades, engines of all sorts should be able to post 500,000+ miles. This has not happened! THE ORIGINAL ENGINEERING SEEMS TO HAVE GREATER EFFECT THAN THE OIL USED!
