i have a 90 pickup I4 and was wondering how difficult it would be to swap it with a V6. would it be easy if i found a 90 V6 to swap? what would be the best way to change everything out and all that fun stuff. also, would it be best if i changed out everything to fit the V6? or could i keep some stuff from the 22re?? thanks for the help.

Well,I know you'd have to change the entire harness to the e.c.u. and engine-maybe the dash harness too. What about engine mounts?who out there knows if they are the same..I'd be more interested in changing a blown V6 and putting in the RE.
im just havin problems with my RE and would like to get a little more power form the V6. i was wondering about the motor maounts as well. really just anything that i might have to do to get the V6 into my truck. anyone else?

Have you considered a 350? I have a couple friends who have done this with the 4Runner, and apparently it can swap out very well. Look it up and see what you can find!
i have thought about that. it was in the back of my mind, i just thought it might be easier/ cheaper to just find a V6 and just rebuilt it. but i need some ifo about it first. like motor mounts?? i know the 350 fits right in but does the V6? also with the 350 i would have to swap out everything to make it work the way i wanted but im not sure with the V6, thats why im asking. so yeah. does anyone have ANY info about this??? like are the 22re parts compatible with any of the V6 parts? again, i would like any information about swapin from a 22re to a V6. thanks guys for the info that u have givin me so far.

a friend of mine did a swap in his chevy luv and put a buick 231 in it. Don't ask me how I remember this after 15 years but the place he got most of his parts from was Advanced Adapters. Looks like they have what you need. They have motor mount kits that will bolt in and accept either a chevy or a buick V6. They also make bell housing adapters as well as a lot of other stuff needed to make swapping a one shop stop.
i have a little side question, what should i use for cleanin my fuel injectors? should i use the fuel injector cleaners that i can buy at the store or is there somethin else i should do?
