Toyota Truck Recall

http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=765750

I am not a regular on the truck forum since I got rid of mine several years ago, but I thought you all might like to know about this. Saw it today on abcnews.com. Damn that sucks. ALways hopeful it won't happen to Toyota like it does the domestic manufacturers. Oh well when you make and sell as many as they do it is bound to happen every once in a while.

They claim it is a performance recall
Quote:
Toyota said the surface of a ball joint which connects to the front suspension may have been scratched when it was manufactured, which could lead to wear and tear over time.

Any excessive wear or looseness in the joint could force drivers to exert more effort when steering, allow the vehicle to drift and increase the amount of noise from the suspension.

of course you see the difference between Toyota and American companies.....Toyota doesn't wait for fatalities before ordering a recall!
