Angry Oil & Filter change, 22RE,Found filter DRY!

NO OIL IN FILTER WHEN CHANGED- DO I HAVE PROBLEMS?Truck runs fine,maybe I had a bad filter?Ive changed oil many many times and always get oil running from filter and typically half full after getting it off.What could be going on here?Thanks for your reply!

check the way that the filter is mounted it may not hold oil when the engine is off.

oil passage going to filter is clogged or the oil pump is not working. I have a 22re and it always has oil in it. If you have the relocation kit that might have something to do with it if the oil filter is facing down.

If its a CHEEP filter , with NO anti drain back valve ... it will drain out and be empty ...

spend the money on the toy filter , your truck will last longer .
