94 p/u starts then stalls/no codes

So I jumpped the te1 and e1 and the check engine light justblinks continually. I put a reman motor in and I drove the truck 2 weeks ago and it ran ok. letit sit for 2 weeks and now it starts then stalls. NOTHING was changed since I drove it last. I fiddled with the timing and checked the codes with nothing doing. Am I doing the code thing wrong? I had the key off and jumped it then turned the key on and it just blinks. Wrong terminals? What should I check?

Thanks in advance,
Jason

Ok I held the AFM open and it started fine until I let it go. iIf there are no leaks after the airbox can I just bolt it open? Does it just sense air flow/no airflow or does it control something such as fuel mixture?

Thanks,
Jason
