Rebuild or buy a longblock

I have a rod that's knocking on my truck. It looks like my two best options right now are to pull the engine and have it rebuilt by a good reputible machine shop I know of, or buy a longblock from NAPA. The price is about the same either way. I not really sure which way to go.
