Swap to a bigger stock radiator

I have a 93 toyota 22re pickup with a stock radiator. I heard you can swap to a bigger stock V6 radiator and it just bolts up...Is this true? What is all involved and whats the donor vehicle to get this radiator from?

This radiator specialty shop located in Washington state has original 2 row/core brass radiators which are excellent in quality and many Toyota dealerships buy from them:

all you do is replace yours with the bigger 3 row/core brass rad, avoid the V6 rad as you may need to make a few small mods to get it to work.If you need more cooling install a 180 degree stat instead of a bigger rad.

180 degree stat (82 degree Celcius) Toyota # 90916-03083 (1975-80 20R,1985-87 22RT-E)
Stat gasket # 16341-35010=$2.70 CDN

Please check radiatior.com. I have bought two radiators from them and they have been good so far. One time (for my Camry) they had the radiator DELIVERED in 3 hours!!!!!

I think there may be a difference between the the I4 and V6 as far as the locations of the hose outlets are. I could be WRONG, but, this is a moot point as you can call radiator .com and order a 3 row radiator for a 22re. I think I paid around $140 three years ago. I live in the Mojave Desert, so I am hearin' ya. You will also need an extra $6 for a new Stant rad cap. New rads do not come with one, and my original 1984 rad cap was a larger diameter.
