will a 1992 toyota long box (bed) fit on my 1986 toyota 4x4 long box (reg cab)?

i have a friend who put a 96 taco bed on his 87 looked pretty alrite. im not too sure about the long beds though it just might.

It would with modifications ... fuel filler , and one set of mounts .
tail lights are not interchangeable , but are "plug and play" .
