USA high speed shivers

I was drivin down the freeway the other day, and my 84 4x4 started to shake eradically. it only happens over 60mph. In March I drove this truck from California at 75+mph so i got confused. My mom told me i needed to get an alignment. Is there another issue i might have?

I'd also check motor mounts, wheel balance, and axels. I've got a really bad alignment on my truck and I dont have problems at high speeds (110+) on the highway, so I doubt thats it, possible though.

It sounds like its a tire balance issue. Its possible that one of your wheel weights fell off.

I've got a rwd truck, 22re with the intake open (you've probably seen my mod), and a glasspack instead of a muffler. Suprisingly I've gotten well over 110 (thats where the speedomete maxes out), and that wasnt even with my foot to the floor. If I had a bigger speedometer I have no doubt I could get it up to 140.

Way I did mine, was cut after the cat, put an adapter on to move the pipe size up to 2". Then route the pipe up above the axel (I had to get some angled pipes, dont think theyre needed on the 4x4), get some mounting brackets, and weled the glasspack onto the end of the pipe. Its just like a regular muffler, passes inspection as a muffler, but when you look inside the glasspack its basicly just a straitpipe with a ceramic jacket that attempts to absorb sound.

Thats where I got mine, $20, free shipping. Ordered on thursday, got here next tuesday. Then just had a friend weld it for me. The rest of the piping I got at autozone for about $10 and it was all bolt-on.

glasspack

I looked under my truck yesterday, and nothing was welded after the cat, so i think it will be pretty easy.
