need stronger alt.

I have a 82 pick-up w/a whimpy 42 amp alt. I need a lot sronger alt w/alot move amp due to air bag system and audio system. Does any body have any leads as to help me solve this prob.

guessing your engine is a 20r?

maybe try the alt from a later 22r might bolt up or take it to a shop they can rebulid them with better internals and make them have a higher out put
