93 Pick-up starts will not run or idle

I have a 93 4x4 v6 that was in a accident where the truck ended up on its side. Nothing really damaged but one side of the truck. Will not crank now...there was oil in the intake manifold...cleaned out as well as I could....pulled spark plugs and turned engine over to remove oil from cylinders. Before accident truck ran perfectly....now the engine will crank, but dies immediately. I can dribble gas into the thottle body intake and the engine starts and runs fine as long as I continue to add gas. I changed fuel filter but an looking for some help.

Could the fuel pump have been damaged....truck ended up on passenger side with a full tank of gas. It was a low speed accident while trying to come up an embankment.

Your circuit relay is on the passengers side right in under the dash tucked in behind the fender on that side. maybe something about that got damaged! BTW that relay turns your pump on!

There is also a plastic re-usable (wash with soap and water) fuel pump filter located inside the fuel tank below the fuel pump.Soak the 8 fuel pump bracket screws with a deep penetrating lube such as:

AeroKroil Oil (from Kanolabs)
PB Blaster,Liquid Wrench
Toyota Rust Penetrant
High Performance Penetrating lube
Rust Check

several times prior to removing the bracket to access the fuel pump filter. I would say that the old rusted gasoline got shaken around and clogged your secondary filter.
